On top of that, this popularity may come from their suitability for people of all ages, including seniors.
This article explores how e-scooters could enhance independence and access to essential services to lead a fulfilling life despite mobility challenges as you age.
When you explore the range of modern mobility aids, the e-scooter emerges as a compelling choice for enhancing your independence. They are designed with ease of use in mind, making them an ideal choice for seniors.
Of course, there are some considerations before getting an e-scooter. For instance, consider your individual needs and preferences. Assess the weight capacity to ensure it can comfortably support you. Battery life is another crucial factor. Opt for a model with a battery that suits your typical riding duration to avoid inconvenient recharging.
You can also explore additional features that may align with your preferences, such as adjustable handlebars, comfortable seating options, or built-in safety features.
In addition, although they are generally safe, e-scooter injuries are rising. Hence, as you find online quote from health insurance providers to cover medical expenses and healthcare-related costs, consider additional specialized e-scooter insurance to address potential accidents.
Now, let us outline how this aid can positively impact your life as a senior.
These compact electric vehicles provide a swift and convenient means of transportation within your local neighborhood or community, reducing your reliance on public transport or personal vehicles.
Imagine this scenario: you need to pick up groceries from the nearby store. Instead of waiting for a bus or coordinating a ride with someone else, you can hop on your e-scooter and zip over to the store in minutes. You don't have to ask a caregiver or family member for assistance. That's the kind of independence any senior desires.
E-scooters are agile and nimble, allowing you to navigate streets and sidewalks. On top of that, you can quickly reach your desired destination without the hassle of parking or the limitations of public transportation schedules. But this doesn't mean there are no safety requirements.
First and foremost, make sure you wear a helmet and follow traffic rules at all times. Treat your e-scooter like any other vehicle on the road, obeying traffic signals, signs, and speed limits.
Firstly, instead of waiting for a ride or dealing with public transport schedules, you can hop on your e-scooter and swiftly reach your local library. It ensures that you can engage in lifelong learning and intellectual pursuits independently.
Furthermore, e-scooters bridge the physical gap between your home and senior centers. Senior centers offer various activities, from fitness classes to social gatherings. These can improve your mental and emotional well-being.
As such, an e-scooter empowers you to participate in these events more regularly, fostering a sense of community and belonging. You can even schedule outdoor events like picnics with your senior friends because you know you have a reliable means of transport. It lets you explore your environment and increase social interactions.
Additionally, e-scooters facilitate prompt access to healthcare facilities. Whether going for a routine check-up or a medical appointment, an e-scooter enables you to reach these destinations quickly.
Riding an e-scooter can positively impact your health as a senior in several ways. Firstly, the low-impact exercise is gentle on your joints and muscles, minimizing the risk of strain or injury. It's different from cycling or other more engaging exercises.
Secondly, balancing on an e-scooter requires coordination and balance, and regular use of an e-scooter can help enhance these skills. This can reduce the risk of falls, a common concern for seniors.
Moreover, e-scooter rides, even short ones, contribute to your overall physical activity. Improving cardiovascular health, muscle strength, and general fitness is essential for your well-being.
E-scooters provide seniors with a multifaceted approach to boosting their independence, including easing the financial burden. These electric scooters offer a practical and budget-friendly mode of transportation.
They are notably more affordable than owning and maintaining a personal vehicle, with lower initial costs and reduced ongoing expenses. This cost-effectiveness translates into financial relief, allowing you to allocate your resources more efficiently.
Additionally, e-scooters require minimal maintenance. Their design prioritizes simplicity and durability, meaning you only need to perform routine tasks like checking tire pressure, charging the battery, and occasional inspections.
Furthermore, charging an e-scooter is cost-effective. You can conveniently charge it at home, eliminating the necessity of frequent trips to gas stations or the purchase of expensive fuel.
As a senior, time is a precious commodity, and e-scooters provide a means to make the most of it.
One key aspect is the ease of swiftly navigating urban and suburban areas. E-scooters allow you to maneuver through traffic congestion and reach your destination faster than walking or relying on public transportation. It means you can get to appointments, meetings, or social gatherings more promptly, reducing the need to plan extensive travel time into your schedule.
Instead of spending valuable minutes searching for parking spaces or paying for parking, you can conveniently park your e-scooter in designated areas, saving time and eliminating the stress associated with parking-related issues.
In conclusion, e-scooters have emerged as a transformative force in enhancing senior independence and overall quality of life. You can schedule your errands and appointments knowing you don't have to rely on public transport. In addition, you can visit any part of town faster than you would on foot.
However, this doesn't mean an e-scooter takes away the benefits a walk to a store or local attraction brings. As you balance your body on it, you improve your coordination. It also reduces the risk of joint injuries arising from other exercise forms.

Riding an electric scooter is a usual routine for many citizens in the United States. There are many reasons people use electric scooters. For some, it is a sustainable and affordable mode of transportation. For others, electric scooters provide an easy way to get around town without having to walk long distances. And for seniors, electric scooters can help maintain independence and mobility.
However, as with any type of vehicle, there are safety concerns that come with riding an electric scooter - especially for elderly people. Let's explore if electric scooters are safe for seniors and what precautions should be taken when using them.
There are two main types of electric scooters on the market: electric scooters and mobility scooters.
Electric scooters are smaller in size and typically have a handlebar that the rider stands up on while riding. They typically have a maximum speed of around 15 mph and a range of 10-25 miles before needing to be recharged.
Mobility scooters, on the other hand, are larger in size and have a seat for the rider to sit in. They also have a steering wheel or joystick that is used to control the direction of the scooter. Mobility scooters typically have a maximum speed of around 4-8 mph, but there are also fast mobility scooter models that have a range of 8-15 miles.
"Both electric scooters and mobility scooters can be an ace option for the elderly who have trouble getting around. Electric scooters can help seniors get around their neighborhood or community. Mobility scooters can help seniors get around inside their homes." - Robert Herrera, a car expert at COR Wheels
There are a few safety precautions that seniors should take when riding an electric scooter. First, always wear a helmet when riding an electric scooter. This is especially vital for seniors, who are more vulnerable to head injuries in the event of a fall.
Second, make sure to wear appropriate footwear while riding an electric scooter. Closed-toe shoes with good traction will help you stay safe on the scooter.
Third, consider wearing other protective gear, such as elbow and knee pads, to reduce the risk of injury if you do fall off the scooter.
When choosing an electric scooter for a senior, there are a few determining things to keep in mind.
Electric scooters can provide many benefits for seniors. They can help old people stay active and independent. Power scooters can also help aging people save money on transportation costs.
Also, this is a fun way for seniors to get around. There's no need for manual assistance to get on or off the electric scooter. Riding an electric scooter can also help the elderly stay mentally sharp.
There are health conditions that make it unsafe to ride an electric scooter. If your elderly parent has any of these conditions, you should not ride a scooter:
If you're not sure whether it's safe for you to ride an electric scooter, talk to your doctor before using one.
Seniors who ride an electric scooter can have a lot of fun. But it's important to be safe when using one. Make sure you wear solid safety gear, go slowly, and be aware of your surroundings. If you have any health conditions that could make riding a scooter unsafe, talk to your therapist before using one.

Coming with a safe start throttle, the electric riding scooter should contain an all in one dashboard that gives simultaneous readings for the speed, battery status, odometer, trip distance, total charge, and so on. When talking about intelligence and safety, the battery management system should be such that it enables the scooter to get charged anywhere and at any time on the roads while traveling.
3) The weight range and the cost of maintenance should be taken under consideration for a perfect choice!
One should choose the best-suited model while the market is being flooded with different sized models of an e-scooter coming under different weight ranges. The distribution of weight depends on the size, battery, electric motor, and other features. The range of the weight changes depending on the electric motor's power and the requirement of high-capacity batteries and other components.
Maintenance cost is yet another factor to consider while buying an electric scooter. The maintenance cost of the e-scooter should be low but the performance should not be hampered due to it. With a cost-effective means of transportation, one can get a taste of an electric mobility lifestyle without burning the pockets too much.
4) Check for the wheels and suspension that also would determine the extent of the body balance while riding

Undoubtedly, e-scooters make one feel more stable in a ride, this ease of body balancing is also a result of good shock absorption and traction during a ride. The presence of the pneumatic tires filled with compressed air makes one feel more balanced. So one has to choose a type that gives a better body balance as well!
5) The cost price of the two-wheeled micro-mobility device matters a lot
Though we can say that the electric riding scooters are significantly affordable compared to the other modes of travel, the price ranges vary as per the different model types of electric scooters. The performance comparability is also a factor that determines the cost of the vehicle above all.
6) The range of distance and the speed of the electric scooters also are crucial factors
What distance an electric scooter can cover in a full charge mode determines the range the e-scooter would carry for a daily commute. One can choose an electric scooter depending on the range it can cover as per the requirement. Additionally, the speed of the electric riding scooter also becomes an imperative factor while one opts for the best-suited model. Covid-19 has globally impacted the ways we live and work. Human beings' mobility is counted as the most significant factor defining the way one lives and works and the pandemic has affected it by and large.
The post lockdown scenario undoubtedly redefines human mobility, especially in urban jungles. This is because people living in cities are avoiding public transportations in the recent past to follow local health authorities' guidelines. Thus we can say that people would depend more on efficient ways to travel.
When there have been restrictions imposed on crowding and specifically avoiding public places, people might be keen to switch to a more personal form of transportation. Thus, with people seeking new transportation options, e-scooters and bikes could be the new normal.
Therefore, as we emerge from lockdowns, micro-mobility devices such as these foldable e-scooters could gain traction as they would reduce urban congestion keeping the daily commute safe
E-scooters, in particular, can be a more economical solution for a daily commute. When people choose to avoid public transportation and shared rides, they could be choosing to drive a car alone. But it's more costly in terms of operating costs, parking, and in some cases, initial investment.
With people seeking alternative transportation options due to the pandemic, there is an urge to change the way they commute and travel. Out of all alternatives, an e-scooter is greener and so it contributes to overall environmental conservation.
Social distancing norms and self-sterilization methods could be followed in a better way when people switch over to electric scooters and e-bikes for daily up-downs.
There will be greater exposure to these micro-mobility devices since e-scooters might help the essential workers and frontline warriors(the people who have been risking their lives in doing their duty) as a great option to travel between their workplace and homes.
Moreover, e-scooters could be a perfect option for the delivery of essential goods(food and medical supplies) across the communities when there have been strict restrictions imposed due to the lockdown.
More and more people could turn to e-scooters and e-bikes for commuting.
As the restrictions of the lockdown ease, people would certainly be more inclined to travel on personal, socially distanced, and emission-free modes of transport.
Electric riding scooters and e-bikes could be the new priority to meet the people's growing demands as the lockdowns ease restrictions.

It's about 100 times more fuel-efficient than regular cars
]]>So, let's know more about these two types of modern vehicles to help you choose the best fit for yourself.
Classified as a form of micro-mobility, an electric scooter(also known as an E-scooter) is similar to a two-wheeled manual scooter, except a motor runs it. Learning to ride an electric scooter is much more comfortable and becomes habitual if practiced regularly. E-scooters are smaller, lighter, and easier to manage, so they facilitate ease of use. Moreover, owning an electric scooter is a cost-effective means of transportation.
E-bikes, on the other hand, bring in the highest quality of comfort levels while riding. The use of E-bikes brings in the pedal-assist function rather than being a fully automated system. It means that the rider still needs to exert to pedal and make the motor function. E-bikes can run faster and so cover more distance in less time.
Let's now draw a comparison between the two on the various factors associated with them. This comparison would undoubtedly help you conclude and choose for yourself the better out of the two.
Here's the breakdown that suggests which of the two could be the best for you!
The foldable electric scooters are more comfortable to carry and thus are more compact and convenient. Its portability also makes it the perfect option for sightseeing in a crowded environment. The ease of storage makes them highly suitable to be carried anywhere you want. On the other hand, E-bikes may not be that easy to store as they require bigger storage space.
No special attire is required while riding an E-scooter. Any dress, including suits, skirts, clothes, high-heels, can be worn while riding an e-scooter. It brings convenience, as one does not need to focus more on the dress and stay extra cautious while riding. With E-bikes, there are limitations to the attires one wears. Therefore, this is not that convenient an option as one has to be cautious about the dress, as it could lead to a shift in focus.
From the office to casual rides for fun, E-scooters prove a versatile option for a ride at all times. They are so compact and portable that you can ride an e-scooter to work in the morning and put it in the car trunk if you need to take a ride back home if in case it rains in the afternoon.. E-bikes also are a very comfortable, high-energy efficient, and cost-effective mode of traveling and bring in the flexibility of the battery-powered pedal assistance.
Foot goes only inches off the ground while riding and so one feels more stability while riding the e-scooters. E-scooters become much safer here as one can easily balance the body movement with a ride to prevent any accident.
Learning to ride an electric scooter is more effortless, and kids get it into their habit faster than a bike. There is no bar present in between your legs, and it becomes easier to jump off if there is a need. In addition to bringing the portability and the compactness, e-scooters assist with a greater comfort and are significantly easier to learn..E-bikes, on the other hand, are challenging to learn as they have restrictions. However, E-bikes assist you with extra comfort to cover miles with little effort.
C) Are your investments safe? The safety level increases with E-scooters as you can bring the scooter with you the whole time; you don't need to lock it outside with the risk of getting stolen. E-bikes, not being that compact and portable, have to be chained outside or locked in a manner that may make them vulnerable to getting stolen. Therefore E-scooters prove a better and safer investment.
Electric scooters are made for more excellent durability and need low maintenance costs. Being the cost-effective means of transportation, powering a high performance, you can get the taste of the electric mobility lifestyle without burning your pockets. On the other hand, E-bikes are costlier and have a high maintenance cost due to a complex configuration.
E-scooters, on the whole, are significantly more affordable than E-bikes. They are two to three times cheaper as compared to E-bikes with comparable performance. However, when we talk of performance, E-bikes are the best option for long-distance rides. Good quality bikes from trusted manufacturers can usually take 80-120 kilometers with one charge.
The decision to choose between the two could be challenging as both electric scooters and E-bikes have revolutionized the world of micro-mobility. Though there are many factors relating and differentiating the two, there can be conclusive evidence drawn based on some of the illustrating factors mentioned above for comparing them.
Based on these factors, you can compare and choose the better of the two. So please sit back and look into these two alternative modes of transportation, study them entirely around features and usability, and then make the best-suited choice for you.

A recent study of traffic in the United States found that the average driving commuter spends between 42 and nearly 70 hours per year sitting in traffic, costing them between $1000 and $1500 in lost time revenue. That isn’t even counting the reduced gas mileage or the wear and tear on both their vehicles and their positive outlook. While many cities are working to restructure their public transportation systems to accommodate more distances, reliability and access, there’s only so much that can be done with existing infrastructure. And change takes time. Which is why the list below doesn’t vary much from year to year.
Even in cities with less than adequate systems, there are always folks who still try to make the system work: parking their cars at the hubs; but what if parking isn’t properly protected? Some folks ride their bikes to catch the bus or train, but then you either have to be lucky enough to get a lockable space, or wrangle the bulky bicycle into the crowd. Or you could try and be extra healthy and walk, only to show up at a business meeting sunburned and sweaty. But what if there was a way to take advantage of public transportation and avoid all the normal pitfalls? Well, that’s where we come in.
There was once a time when no one except “some crazy hippies” talked about going green and the effects of our lifestyles on the planet and our health. Happily, that time is now past – it seems like everyone is talking about going green – and the ubiquity of the conversation has had a couple unintentional side effects. Even though everyone is using the language of “going green,” what they actually mean by it can vary widely. And, ironically, the more we talk about it, the less many people hear. But the fact is, every single thing we do every day has an impact on the entire planet -- good or bad. When you flap your butterfly wings by taking public transportation, you don’t just emit fewer carbon emissions and use less petroleum, it also means that more people get to breathe cleaner air, not just in your town, but across the globe.
We’re also discovering new ways to maximize productivity of the hydrocarbons we are using in conjunction with renewables. The more renewables you use, the more hydrocarbons can be diverted for higher value products, or to meet the growing global energy demand. Experts say by 2040, we will require at least 25% more energy than is currently produced to meet the needs of a rapidly growing, global population. Every increment you reduce your carbon footprint staves off the almost inevitable death of our planet a few more days – and if everyone is making an effort, the gradual replacement of our planet’s resources is increased exponentially. The good news is that as an individual you have the power to control most of your choices and, therefore, the impact you create: from where you live to what you buy, eat, and use to light your home to where and how you vacation, to how you shop or vote, you can have global impact.
You can enjoy fresher, tastier foods and improve your personal health by following the mantra: eat seasonal, eat local, eat organic. According to one study, organic milk has 68 percent more beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids than conventional milk. Buying fresh food, locally grown, helps support your local economy and farmers who are being increasingly squeezed out. It also reduces the costs and production energy required for packaging, it means fewer preservatives and chemicals in your food, and it reduces greenhouse gases involved in the transportation of the food to you.
Nothing is ever really thrown "away" -- it all has to go somewhere. Recycling and reusing saves energy compared to using virgin materials to create new products. For example, one aluminum can recycled can create 20 cans with the same energy it takes to make one brand new one. When we throw things away, they don’t just disappear. It goes into a landfill – quickly buried so that even biodegradables can’t break down due to limited oxygen and no sunlight. Anything we can do to cut down on the trash will benefit us all.
Every object you own – your furniture, your clothing, all your stuff – comes from somewhere. Every object that is created has some environmental impact. You can do your part by buying goods that are made with green materials, of course. And we all could probably use less stuff in general. But why not take advantage of already existing goods? Instead of filling a landfill, you can find vintage clothing, secondhand furniture, and previously enjoyed electronics at your local thrift shop – often benefitting charities that provide jobs, food and support to those less fortunate or down on their luck. Help save the planet – and help your fellow man.
Anytime you choose to walk, ride a bike, or take public transportation, you significantly reduce the carbon dioxide and particulate emissions created by driving a gas or diesel powered car. And it doesn’t just work for short trips. Choosing greener options such as a train over air travel for long-distance trips can immensely reduce your carbon footprint. Another great option? Our EcoReco Electric Scooter. It’s all electric, so there are no fuel emissions. In fact, the Lithium Iron Phosphate battery is non-toxic, so there’s no emissions whatsoever. Plus, it charges rapidly from any standard wall outlet without heating up and can provide up to 20 miles of travel on a single charge. And it saves your pocketbook too. With just $1.00 in electricity costs, an EcoReco Scooter can take you nearly 500 miles. Not to mention, it folds up in seconds to a mere 3' x 1' x 1/2' for storage almost anywhere, and only weighs about 30 pounds – the perfect companion to your bus or train ride. And with speeds of up to 20 miles per hour, the last mile never felt quite so good!
Transitioning to a greener economy isn’t shooting for some unreachable and whimsical Nirvana, but a very real future we can build if we start now. While looking at it globally may seem overwhelming, each of us, every day, can take steps to preserve our planet and ourselves, and THAT is what causes planet-wide change. Imagine if, 20 years from now, we’ve stopped talking about going green, because it’s not a choice, but the prevailing lifestyle. Until then, we need to all do our part.

Maybe you’ve toyed with the idea of buying an e-scooter in the past but haven’t really thought much about it lately. Your life will change once you own one. An e-scooter promotes good health! Some folks think the only reason to buy an e-scooter might be to save money. Of course that’s true; you will save money. As compared to buying a car, an e-scooter is definitely less expensive. So if all you need is a mode of transportation that will basically get you around, you have enough reason to invest in an e-scooter right now.
This is probably the oldest and most well-known way to make a difference in your giving. Various charities will let you donate a farm animal, clean water well, cookstoves, even tracts of land in rainforests and nature preserves in someone’s name. You can even double down by giving through a charity that advances conservation as well, like the World Wildlife Fund. One of our favorites is Cool Effect – they not only help people and animals in poorer areas, but all of their projects verifiably reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and 90% of your donation goes directly to the projects. Another is CarbonFund, a non-profit that allows you to buy down your carbon footprint – for individuals and businesses.
This is an easy one, even though a lot of people don’t think of it when they consider ‘going green.’ How many things in your life do you use once, then throw away? Why not help a friend help our planet by getting them reusable containers? Bento Boxes, salad containers, reusable lunch bags, even Tupperware are good options. How about cloth towels or napkins instead of paper towels? Why not a reusable water filter, along with PBA-free reusable water bottles? And there’s always a lunch box and thermos.
Do you know how much energy is wasted on traditional thermostats and AC units? Or how much water gets flushed down the drain? Water or Energy saving technology isn’t just for ‘smart houses.’ Even a non-techie can get a programmable thermostat that restores their desired temperature right before they get home, rather than running all day. And for the tech savvy, connect with smart phone apps for even more control of thermostat, light switches, even the front door.
It might take a little more effort to locate, but consider looking for upcycled or recycled versions of products from furniture to jewelry to clothing, as well as doormats, purses, and various other items made from re-purposed previously loved items.
Almost all of us did this at least once growing up, made our parents or siblings something with our own hands – and likely the person you gave it to still has it. Handmade gifts can be cheaper, but are imbued with extra love because you made it personally for your loved one. And it doesn’t have to be knitting a sweater, or macramé-ing a plant holder. These days you can craft homemade candles, lip balms and jewelry, among many other things. If you’re good in the kitchen, why not give homemade jams or preserves, infused liquors, or your own baking jars and homemade candy.
Instead of another thing to put on a shelf or in a closet or hide away and then drag out when the person comes to visit artwork and tchotchkes, how about giving them memories? Wine tastings, pottery classes, museum passes, tickets to Hamilton, or tours you can walk or bike are great gifts that people will remember for years.
Of course, a very popular gift this year seems to be our very own EcoReco Scooters. Get outdoors and enjoy the fresh breeze, along with the wind in your hair as you zip down to the local coffee shop, the train station or the baseball field. EcoReco Scooters are all-electric, energy efficient and safe for the environment, while being portable enough to easily carry, and can charge quickly from a standard outlet. It doesn’t matter if you’re a commuter, student or a major league baseball player, EcoReco Scooters are the perfect gift for the holidays!
]]>Ecotourism is emerging worldwide as a popular way to see the sights without leaving anything behind. The International Ecotourism Society says this mode of travel, which is becoming popular throughout the world, could grow to 25% of the global travel market within six years.
They also believe it could account for $470 billion a year in revenues. That’s a hefty hunk of change. Sounds like something that’s good for the planet is also good for the economy, doesn’t it? A win-win.
Travel is rewarding. If you’re ready to plan a summer trip, or even something as soon as this spring, check Google for green destinations. Go eco-cruising like Leonardo Di Caprio! When you get where you’re going, be sure you’ve packed your EcoReco.
EcoReco is the world’s highest quality electric scooter. Designed for riders 16 years and older, EcoReco can be charged conveniently using a regular wall outlet via the external charger. Get one for everyone in the family.
The best part of buying an EcoReco e-scooter is our company stands 100% behind the quality of our scooters and second only to building quality products, customer service is our primary focus.
In recent months the media has brought into question the evergrowing popularity of electronic scooters and whether the disadvantages out weigh the advantages. Questions about potential safety hazards, parking issues, and clutter on city streets, are at the forefront of the discussion. Concerns over safety are legitimate, and cities must address them. It is not too early for these discussions to take place. Should the number of e-scooters and bicycles increase (and it will over time) solutions for absorbing large volumes of two-wheeled traffic on city streets will become necessary. It will undoubtedly require more equitable allocation of street space. Some believe an Eco-friendly approach would require that land and lanes be redirected away from cars and dedicated to scooters and bicycles. Even public transit systems will need to be redesigned to accommodate emerging alternative networks.
When it comes to commuting and getting around town, there are a lot of options. You can walk, ride a bike, skateboard, take a train or bus, or drive your car. However, we think that scooters are the best form of transportation.
Greener Than Cars
Riding a motorized scooter is much better for the environment than driving a car to work. While the average car can only travel 5 or 6 miles on $1 of gasoline, the EcoReco can go up to 500 miles on $1 worth of electricity. You don’t need any fuel. Simply plug in the scooter before you leave. You can go 10 to 20 miles on a single charge.
Faster Than Walking
Walking to work is great, since it doesn’t use any electricity and doesn’t cost any money. However, walking your commute can take a lot of time out of your day. You can only walk so fast. A scooter can move up to 20 miles per hour, so you’ll get to work in no time.
Won’t Get Sweaty
Taking a bike or skateboard to work is great, and it can help you get some exercise. The downside is that you might wind up sweaty by the time you get to the office. The EcoReco Scooter is electric, so you won’t work up a sweat just traveling to work. Plus, since you can go up to 20 miles per hour, you’ll get there just as quickly as you would on a bike.
Cost Efficient
Buying a motorized scooter can seem like a big investment up front, but it’s much cheaper than other forms of transportation. Cars are expensive and come with a host of other expenses. You have to pay for insurance, gas, routine maintenance, upkeep and more. Even public transportation, while cheaper than driving, adds up. If you pay $150 per month for an unlimited pass, that’s $1,800 a year you spend on transportation.
Portable
You can take EcoReco Scooters anywhere you go. They weigh 34 pounds and fold up to 3’ x 1’ x 6” so it can easily fit in a trunk or gym locker. You can pack it up and store it under your desk. No more looking for parking or paying for a space in a garage.
]]>Before you tackle the more drastic changes of your new Eco-friendly lifestyle, focus on some of the easier steps you can take. Here are a few small changes you can make in your everyday life. Each will lead you to living more Eco-friendly:
Our world has become much more reliant on computers than past generations. Digital technology has risen to the forefront of communication. You can go a whole day without using a pen and paper. (See? You’re already on the road to living Eco-friendly!) Think about ways you can use less paper, or reuse. The less paper used, the less needs to be produced. Recycling paper saves trees.
Instead of using plastic bags, use canvas. And if you have plastic bags, reusing them is a great way to live more eco-friendly. Use plastic grocery bags in small garbage cans, or use them over and over again. There is little inconvenience with this Eco-friendly trick, and this every small change makes a huge difference.
Sustainability doesn’t just happen on a whim; it takes research and planning before you can enjoy a planet-friendly lifestyle. Before departing, be sure to plan an itinerary that takes advantage of all green options available. Packing lighter will also assist in minimizing your carbon impact. Just be sure to pack things like a refillable water bottle and eco-friendly toiletries.
Before booking, a little bit of research can go a long way. It can help you find things like an eco-friendly, all-inclusive cruise line. If you’re looking for something a little more casual, a green, luxury hotel could be perfect for you. For a more authentic travel experience, booking with local rental houses can give you a local exposure.
Tourism doesn’t always mean walking around until your feet are sore; there are eco-friendly options for your sightseers. Your EcoReco Scooter is a perfect option for carbon-neutral travelers. It is compact and can be charged with any wall outlet which makes it both convenient and planet-friendly. If you need to cover larger distances, be sure to utilize public transportation instead of things like taxi services or rental cars which can leave a larger impact on the environment.
After you’ve returned, invest some of your saved cash in a carbon offset or carbon capture program. That way, you can turn your carbon footprint into complete carbon neutrality!
If you follow these tips in addition to a little extra research on your end, your next vacation will not only be an unforgettable experience but a green one too!
]]>Planner
Planning helps keep everything in order. In college, you probably have up to three classes a day. Though this may seem like a light load, things start to pile up very quickly. Planning will help you stay on top of homework and extracurricular activities. Planners can also be used to create daily or weekly to-do lists to help prioritize your day-to-day schedule.
There are many different planner options, choose the one that works best for you. Some students like to use their phones as planners to schedule themselves daily reminders. On the other hand, some students like to make sticky notes and place them on a mirror or a desk to set reminders.
Cleaning and Laundry Supplies
Cleaning and laundry supplies are essential for every college student. Students living away from home or off-campus must learn to be independent and clean after themselves. Most college campuses have designated laundry areas. Purchasing a laundry bag helps distinguish clean clothes from the clothes that need to be washed. Schools will not provide detergent or fabric softener, so it’s important to make these purchases before heading to school for the semester.
Equally important, every student needs cleaning supplies whether they’re living in dorms or off-campus. Examples of important cleaning supplies include disinfectant wipes, broom, mop, hand soap, towels, hand sanitizer, etc. These supplies encourage the students to keep their area clean and tidy.
Coffee Maker
Every college student will encounter late nights or early mornings. Coffee will help give the brain a boost and promote alertness. Whether a student is pulling an all-nighter or waking up early in the morning to study, coffee helps them regain focus and push through the day or night. Additionally, research shows the antioxidants found in coffee improves memory, which allows students to focus more on lectures.

]]>Avoid Rush Hour
Rush hour is the time frame where traffic is typically heavier than usual. Avoiding rush hour helps you save time and money. To skip rush hour traffic, it’s important to plan your schedule accordingly. If you have an event in the morning, plan to set out for the location an hour earlier. On the other hand, if you’re leaving work in the evening, plan to leave the office an hour later. The extra time allows you to catch up on work and get ahead your schedule for the next day. Either way, this gives you time to focus and not get stuck in rush hour traffic.
Carpooling and Public Transport
Carpooling is a great idea that will help you save money and time! Try finding co-workers that live within the same radius as you. Create a driving schedule for each week. Depending on your work schedule, rotate vehicles every few days and repeat the cycle. Carpooling helps reduce your gas spending and car services. You won’t have to worry about taking your car to the mechanic for oil changes and tire rotations every other month.
Additionally, public transport such as trains or buses may also make your commutes easier. It’s less stressful and gives you time to check emails, read a book, listen to music, etc. You don’t have to worry about gas or providing services to the vehicles. Furthermore, you don’t have to worry about traffic when using a train for transportation.
Learn Different Routes
Learning different routes help make your commutes less stressful. Whenever there’s traffic on your main route, you’ll have alternative options that won’t leave you sitting in traffic for hours. A useful tip is to check your estimated arrival time using a navigation app such as Apple or Google maps. These apps will show you if your main route has heavy traffic, and also give you alternative routes to take to avoid traffic.
EcoReco E-Scooter
EcoReco e-scooters are ideal for short commutes during rush hour time. When you choose an EcoReco e-scooter, you save big! Staying active has always been what everyone wants to achieve and what many continues to recommend but it can be hard especially for those living in big cities. Convenience plays a major factor in it. Why would one want to get in on their bikes and arrive sweating and heaving when an Uber is just as fast, if not faster, and you stay presentable? But with how much processed food that permeates our diet, not to mention the harm that vehicles do to the environment, it no surprise that people are changing their minds about using alternative ways of traveling.
Much like a spy gear, what's great about a scooter is its small size. You can easily carry one into a train or a bus without getting side-eyes from other commuters like you would with a bike. Scooters are also small enough to weave through foot traffic. And, finally, it offers almost as much health benefits as bikes or rollerblades. So let's dive deeper into how scooting is beneficial to your health and fitness.
Much like walking, jogging, or cycling, scooting requires human power. And because scooting is a low-intensity and a low-impact activity, it is actually preferable for people with sensitive joints. Not only that; scooters are perfect for those who want to kickstart their weight loss plan incrementally.
If you're like me and find it hard to wake up without a strong jolt, then scooting might be the one to help you let go of your morning coffee. A quick lap around a block or a park, I find, is exactly what I need to jumpstart my day. I no longer need coffee to wake up. Instead, I drink it to appreciate the taste and flavor and in much lesser quantity than before.
Scoot your worries away as you enjoy riding through the streets, feeling the wind on your face, enjoying the scenery all around. Take it to the park and ride around nature on a warm and beautiful day. That is a sure way to lower your stress, forget about your problems, and just enjoy the moment.
Just as the clock hits noon, people are quick to get up and get out for lunch. Some walk to the nearest available food stall or fast food. But with a scooter, you're able to go farther, exploring more places as you shop around for lunch. Once you're done, scooting back to work can be an added activity level in your day. Unlike bikes, you won't be coming back to the office a sweaty mess.
It can be demotivating to be doing your routine as before, or even more so, but you're not getting results. Instead of hitting the treadmill twice as hard, how about you hop on your scooter and scoot around for a while? Hitting the wall is your body saying it's gotten used to the activity you're doing. A little change in rhythm will only serve to keep things interesting and when you do go back to your routine, you'll realize it was exactly the break your body needed to perform even better.

]]>Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
The three R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle. These three components are very important to help preserve our planet. Reducing your purchase of items helps lower manufacturing labor, which contributes to greenhouse emissions.
When you reuse items, they don’t end up in the trash can, landfill, or ocean. This is great for our planet because when items such as plastics are thrown away, it takes years to decompose. When this happens, toxins used to make the plastic are slowly being released into the atmosphere. Not only does this impact human and wildlife health, but it also contributes to greenhouse emissions.
Recycling is a great way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. When a person recycles, this helps reduce manufacturing labor, which decreases greenhouse gas emissions. It takes less labor for companies to reuse old parts of a product compared to completely making a new one. Most plastics and glass are recyclable; if you’re done using an item, simply place it in a recycling bin, or contact your local city government to see if there’s one near you.
Limit Driving
Everyone requires transportation. Whether you’re going to work, a doctor’s visit, or simply the grocery store. Although transportation is essential, limiting your drives can positively impact the environment. Instead of driving to work every day, see if you can carpool with a friend or coworker that lives within the same radius as you. This helps lower the greenhouse gas emissions caused by cars and public transportation. Additionally, when grocery shopping, try to purchase two weeks of groceries instead of one week; this reduces gas emissions in the atmosphere as well.
Equally important, driving everywhere is not necessary. If your destination isn’t too far from you, don’t be afraid to walk instead of driving. Not only does this save you gas, but it also reduces gas emissions in the atmosphere.

EcoReco Portable E-Scooters are eco-friendly and cost-efficient. Our scooters do not contribute to air pollution or greenhouse gases during operation. Not only is this good for the environment, but it’s also great for your health.

Cars require a lot of maintenance and care. According to CNN, the average American spends almost 400 dollars on gas per month and unfortunately, gas prices continue to rise. Although gas prices are increasing, there are still several ways that you can save money when it comes to transportation. Here are a few reasons why you should own an E-Scooter.
Cost-Efficient
E-scooters are a great way to save money on gas. They don’t require much maintenance and you can travel miles for just $1. This relieves a person from the stress of buying gas every week, which ultimately helps save money over time.
Equally important, e-scooters come in handy simply because they require little to no maintenance. With an e-scooter, there are no surprise flat tires, brake issues, or battery problems. You don’t have to worry about going to the mechanics every 5,000 miles for an oil change and tire rotation, which makes life much easier and your pockets happy!
Eco-Friendly
Aside from saving money, e-scooters are also eco-friendly with lower carbon footprints compared to cars. Cars contribute to the greenhouse gases that are in the atmosphere, which can be harmful to both human and animal life. On the other hand, e-scooters do not emit greenhouse gases, which helps lower air pollution and minimize health risks caused by toxic gases.
Portability and Versatility
E-scooters are ideal for quick commutes. They help you get to your location without getting stuck in heavy traffic or aches from walking. You don’t have to worry about the struggle to find a parking spot or pay for parking because most e-scooters are portable. Additionally, they don’t take up much storage space. ]]>As we move into a new year, there will be plenty of new trends and technologies to look for over the coming months. Here are some of the top transportation trends to look for in 2017.
1. Pedestrian and Bicycle Roads
Road and pathways made specifically for scooters, cyclists, pedestrians and other alternative forms of commuting are popping up all over the country. Major cities like Atlanta, Seattle and Los Angeles are in the process of approving infrastructure that will create more spaces for people who want to avoid using their cars to commute. These pathways will make alternative modes of transportation faster, easier and safer.
2. More Intracity Public Transportation
Places with existing subways, metros and trains will be expanding their stops and locations this year. New York City just opened a new subway line after decades of work, and the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) is preparing to launch phase two of the project, which will extend the line by 1.6 miles. BART in San Francisco is expanding, and will also roll out quieter trains later this year. In Charlotte, new additions to the Light Rail will add over 9 miles of track and 11 new stations, doubling the system’s current size. Even places that don’t have existing train lines are adding rapid bus systems with smarter technology and bus-only lanes.
3. High Speed Rail
Getting from city to city may be easier starting in 2017. While much of the U.S. hasn’t had a reliable system for train travel in years, new rail lines are popping up across the country, making short trips easier. In South Florida, a new train that will eventually run from Miami to Orlando will open its first leg in 2017 with stops in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. California is building a high-speed rail system that will extend through much of the state.
